Mamuka Khvedelidze was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Medicine from the Tbilisi State Medical University (in 2009). In 2005-2009 years, he worked as a research fellow at the Center for Radiobiology and Radiation Ecology in the laboratory of Cell Radiobiology, and at the Center of HIV/AIDS, in the Laboratory of Clinical Immunology. In 2013 he was awarded a stipend by the American Society of Hematology, Mr. Khvedelidze was employed as a visiting scholar at the Department of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology (University of Padova, Italy), while in 2011-2013, he was a researcher at the “Cure2Children” foundation. Since 2011, he is a doctor at M. Iashvili Children's Central Hospital, Department of Hematology and Oncology. In 2010-2011, Mr. Khvedelidze was a member of The New York Academy of Sciences. Starting from 2013, he is a member of International Association for Pediatric Oncology. Throughout 2007-2008, 2015, he attended short courses at Medical Centers in Germany, United Kingdom, Turkey and the Czech Republic. Mr. Khvedelidze was a volunteer at the Albany Medical Center (The USA Albany, NY, 2011) and a Postdoctoral Scholar at Wadsworth Center (The USA Albany, NY, 2009-2011).
